TASK 11: Write a description of your mother in your notebook. Mention her positive aspects, her not so positive aspects, what you learnt from her, what keeps you apart and what draws you closer.
My mother has always held a soft spot in my heart. She is kind, extremely kiddish, beautiful and full of love. We’ve had our fair share of disagreements, but we always get past it. This is probably because I’m stubborn as hell and won’t stop until we talk things out, but it works. Thinking of her is enough to bring tears to my eyes because this woman is just incredible.
She has taught me lessons in patience, strength and love. She’s taught me to be lighthearted and enjoy the little things. The trials that my mom has been through are too ugly to mention, but seeing her come out of it all as this beautiful woman who loves lame jokes and is a clean freak who can’t sleep over 6 hours a day and just exudes love has been a blessing. Her incessant mopping still gets on my nerves though.
I know that i am lucky to have her around and I will do my best to cherish her everyday. My definition of this is to hug her and talk her ears off but she’d prefer me vacuuming and sweeping the floors everyday. Hence the do my best 🙂
Jokes aside, I can never repay her for all that she’s done. I can only hope to have her by my side for as long as can be. She is and always will be, my number one.
Forever Amma’s Mathanga (Pumpkin),
Ammu.
