Day Five

TASK: TRY TO VISUALIZE ANY ONE OF YOUR PERSONAL GOALS COMING TO REALITY AND TRY TO WRITE IT DOWN OR DRAW IT.

I have relived this dream in my head for years. The thought of writing it down has me excited and nervous. It’s nothing extravagant, but it means the world to me. This is what I picture.

A small place of my own.

Bleak walls, barely any furniture, but a place to call home nonetheless. The day I move in, I’d make a couple copies of the key and send them to a few friends. This may be my home, but by default it is also a safe space for the future key-holders. I doubt there’ll be room for more than 2 of us but I don’t mind cramming to live when the company is great. I’ve also played out countless scenarios in my head where I’m caught off guard as a friend barges in and I loved every minute of it.

This goal seems simple enough, but to grow and reach that stage is a process. One that I have been working on for a while now.

But when the day finally comes, I’m going to order a cake and some ice cream and make a peanut butter sandwich as tribute to the 6 year old in me. Whether that costs 200 or 1000 depends on the state of my bank account. Until then, I’m keeping hopes low with a 10 rupee vanilla ice cream, a slice of cake from a local bakery and a tiny Kissan jam packet. I’m still buying a jar of peanut butter though. Or stealing one from a friend.

Until then,

A slightly hopeful Amulya
